Before hiring any moving company, whether moving within the state or out of state, you should contact consumer affairs in that county. Palm Beach County Consumer Affairs office @ (561) 712-6600, Better Business Bureau, Palm Beach County office @ (561) 842-1918) and the Florida Division of Consumer Services (800) 435-7352 and ask them how many complaints have been filed against that company and also ask how many are unresolved. Many complaints against a moving company, even resolved , is NOT a good indicator of how they conduct business. A quality moving company will have little or no complaints against them. For the record, Smooth Movers , Inc. has had no complaints with any of the 3 fore mentioned departments in the last 20 years!
